WW2 Rolex Oyster Lipton Canadian Military Watch
This particular model was sold in Canada and other parts of the Commonwealth , often at PX stores, and they were intended for servicemen and airmen heading to Europe and the Pacific.
Some of the more common similar smaller Canadian market Rolex/Oyster watches were the Royalite, Victory, Firefly, Raleigh, Centregraph, Shipmate, Skyrocket and Recorda.
It has a striking and desirable original 24-hour "military" dial although time and wear has faded the 24 numerals and they are barely discernible. . Otherwise presents in very good condition. The dial retains a slight pleasing patina in some spots
Its Rolex production Oyster case is factory stamped with its serial no. Its caliber 59 Rolex movement with early shock resistance is signed Rolex (these are signed under the dial rather than on the bridge).
All steel case in very good condition.Dial shows some wear 24 hour ring has faded, inside the case is a 15 Jewel Rolex Cal 59 movement.
Cosmetically overall this is in very good condition and running well
