We have seen many West End Watch Co models, but this one is unusual for two reasons, we have never seen a 20 Micron Gold Plated Cushion shaped Watch with the model name Secundus on it and especially with official Indian Army ordanance markings.

The West End Watch Co was actually a Swiss Watch company that mainly sold watches to the Indian and Middle Eastern markets. In WW1 both British and Indian soldiers en route to Mesopotamia (Iraq) were isssued with these and even Lawrence of Arabia and his men wore the brand. We believe this Watch to have been made in the late 30's

The case on this watch  is 20 Micron Gold Plate throughout, and is in good condition with only light surface scratches, the dial is immaculate and clean, on the back of the case and rather faint is an engraving  two SS's with an arrow in between and the numbers X9438.

Inside the case a 15 Jewel Swiss Level movement signed with the letter W in a Star shape.

Cosmetically this Watch is in very good condition and is running well.
