Record WW2 Dirty Dozen  Official Ordnance Gents Military Watch 
 
In 1944 the MOD placed an order with 12 Swiss manufacturers to produce high grade Military Watches, the specifications were exacting. In total 150,000 of these were produced, the manufacturers included Omega, Jaeger Le Coultre, Longines Cyma, Timor, Record, Eterna, Lemania,IWC, Vertex, Buren and Grana ( who only produced 100 pieces and are the holy grail for collectors !)  Production of these watches ceased when the war ended. 
 
The Record Watch featured here is in excellent overall condition, 
36mm Chrome topped  case is very clean, markings are crisp, dial is pretty much immaculate.
The movement is a 15 Jewel cal 022K Record Swiss Movement 
 
All in all a very good example of an iconic Watch
