Ollivant & Botsford were a very well respected and prestigious established Manchester (UK) based Retail Jewellers and Silversmiths. The firm was founded by John Josiah Ollivant and John William Botsford in 1855 it is now owned by Mappin & Webb.
This 9ct Yellow Gold watch is Hallmarked Birmingham 1960, it's in very good condition, with very little signs of age, a few very minor pin holes on the back of the case and that's it, the dial again shows little signs of age, the raised numerals are crisp and visible.
Inside the case is a very fine Swiss 18 Jewel Incabloc Duomatic movement signed Ollivant & Botsford Ltd. Manchester. Please note that whilst this Watch is called a Duomatic it is not an automatic but a manual wind up watch. Why it's called a Duomatic is a mystery to us.
Cosmetically overall this is in very good condition and running well.
