Moeris ATP Official MOD ( Ministry of Defence) Ordnance WW2 Gents Military Watch
The case has in all honesty seen better days, it's been in a war and looks a bit like it, there are scratches some plate loss, however it all adds to its history. The dial is in good condition for its age.. On the back of the case you can see that the original ATP and serial number have faded with time and wear, however you can still make some of it out, which confirms that its original Military ordinance.
The MOD only officially ordered 133,000 watches from various Swiss manufacturers and these were what were affectionally known as Tommy Watches, these predated thr Dirty Dozen by a number of years and were used in the heaviest of the fighting. After the war those that hadn't been lost or destroyed, the MOD tried to destroy however not all were and that makes these watch incredibly collectable now.
The watch could use a service as its timekeeping isn't anywhere near as good as it should be.
Inside the case is a Moeris 17 Cal 101/2c Swiss MovementCosmetically in fair condition and runs well
