This is a Lord Elgin 'Futura' Mystery Dial Gents Dress Watch from 1957 and is a very collectible watch.We know it's from 1957 because Elgin printed the year at the bottom of the dial, unfortunately only the 7 is still visible but that's enough. 
This watch is in very good condition with few signs of wear, the case is 14K Gold Filled and has only superficial scratches on the case, there is an engraving of some initials on the back which say DFD. the dial shows little sign of ageing at all. 
Inside the case is an Elgin 730 23 Jewel Lever movement signed Elgin USA.
Cosmetically overall in very good condition and is running very well.
