c.1974 Girard Perregaux 2nd Gen Quartz Cal 352 Gents Watch

So todays watch is historically interesting

It’s from around 1974 and it’s made by Girard Perregaux. It’s also a Quartz watch, so what’s special, well this model was the second iteration of the Quartz watch that oscillated at 32,768 HZ a frequency that is now a universal standard, what that means is that it not only increased the accuracy by a factor of 4 it also allowed the battery to last long enough to be acceptable to the market. This was based on the first real quality Swiss Quartz Watch which Girard Perregaux also produced.

The case is gold plated with a steel back and is in very good condition, the dial is pretty much pristine. Inside the case is a Cal 352 Girard Perregaux Quartz movement

Cosmetically overall in very good condition and running well

A few considerations before considering this watch, it's an early Quartz watch and takes a battery that's twice the size of Quartz Watch batteries used now, it most probably will need it battery changed yearly as it isn't as efficient as Quartz watches these days.
