c.1971 Pierre Balmain Couture Dress Watch 
 
In the early 1970's some of the most far thinking French Fashion Houses were absolutely enthralled with the Space Age theme ( the first landing on the moon had only occurred a couple of years earlier ) movies like 2001 A Space Odessey and Barbarella with a young Jane Fonda were undoubtedly influential, Pierre Cardin produce his Espace Collection of Space Inspired Watches in 1971  and likewise Pierre Balmain produced a smaller collection at the time of what we call now Retro Watches but for the times they were 'out there !'
 
This watch has a steel case, which is in good condition, the Green dial has cracking from age but is still very presentable. 
Inside the case is a 17 Jewel Lever Movement 
The strap and buckle are we believe original to the watch. 
 
Cosmetically overall this in good condition and running wrll
