c.1944 WW2 Longines RAF Pilots Hack Watch ( please read description)

A very nice looking WW2 watch but with a caveat, we believe that the case and the movement date from c.1943 and are original but the dial whilst an original Longines dial, has been fitted later.

Our understanding is that at the end of the war the Ministry of Defence sent a quantity of these to India, and new dials were added, this is all conjecture as we have no definitive evidence that this occurred to the watch presented here, the all steel case is in very good condition, inside the case is a Longines Calibre 12L movement and the back of the snap on case back has the Pheon Arrow and designated MOD 6B/159 marks. The dial whilst a slightly later iteration is in excellent condition.

In all honestly and this is reflected in the price, we would recommend to anyone buying this as to look at this watch as a WW2 Longines Watch anything over that is a bonus !

Cosmetically overall in very good condition and running well
