c.1939 Buren ATP WW2 Official Ordnance Military Gents Watch

The Ministry of Defence ordered 133,000 military watches from 16 Swiss Manufacturers, in 1939 these predated the Dirty Dozen by a number of years and it was these watches that saw the brunt of the fighting.

Buren only supplied 2500 of these and is considered to be one of the rarest of the ATP watches.
After the war those that hadn’t been lost or destroyed were sold to a West End Jewellers called Bravingtons and their mark can also be seen on the back of the case.

Cosmetically the watch has seen better days but it’s survived and is still working well
