1950's Jaeger Le Coultre Futurematic Gents Bumper Automatic Dress Watch on Rolex 6636 Bracelet
Initially introduced in 1953 this was the first Watch ever produced without a crown to wind the movement the watch includes a Power Reserve indicator and seconds indicator in a Chronograph style arrangement. The winder is set in the back of the case where you slide to set the time and wind.
Story goes so over engineered was this watch that it nearly bankrupted the company, production only lasted a mere 6 years.
The steel case is in very good condition, the dial has a cream patina with age but looks very good.
Indide the case is a JLC cal 497 17 Jewel Automatic Swiss MovementThe Watch is fitted on a Rolex (pattern 6636) Steel bracelet
