Hamilton bought the ailing Illinois Watch Co in 1928, Illinois Watch Co was a highly regarded  American Watch brand and Hamilton then an American brand bought the company for over 5 Million Dollars which for those times was a huge amount. Hamilton produced over the decades watches branded with both names or in some cases just Illinois. This came to an end when Hamilton ceased making movements in the USA and in 1974 was sold to SSIH a Swiss Conglomerate.

This Hamilton Illinois watch we date from the late 1950's. The case is Rolled Gold Plate with a steel back and is in very good condition, the dial shows very little signs of wear and is pretty clean.
Inside the case is a signed Swiss 17 Jewel Lever movement

Cosmetically overall this is in very good condition and is running very well
