This is an utterly gorgeous post War watch. J.W.Benson were one of the most respected watch makers in London, established in the Mid 19th Century and continued making watches till the mid 20th Century when the war destroyed their factory, they continuing to trade from their Bond Street store till the 1980's when they were bought by Mappin & Webb.
The case is 9ct Yellow Gold with a Screw down back and is in nothing short of excellent condition, the dial is pristine and immaculate.
Inside the case is a 15 Jewel Swiss Lever Movement and the case is Hallmarked for 1949.
Cosmetically this watch is in excellent condition throughout, and running well.
