1940’s Gruen Veri-Thin Pan Am Gents Pilot Watch 
 
Initially made for pilots flying Pan Am Clippers ( Seaplanes ) in the Pacific, at the outbreak of WW2 pilots and bases were turned over to military use, at the end of the war, Gruen continued production as the 24 hour dials were popular and made them available to purchase by the general public. This is one of those. 
 
Gold plated case with a steel back in very good condition, dial is in good condition. 
Inside the case is a Gruen 17 Jewel movement
