1940’s Gruen Veri-Thin Pan Am Gents Pilot Watch 
 
Initially these watches were produced for pilots flying clipper Seaplanes for Pan Am in the Pacific.When America entered WW2 in 1942 the Pan Am bases were turned over to the military as were the Pan Am pilots. After the war Gruen continued manufacturing these watches with their Q4 hour dials and made them available to buy by the general public, this is one of those watches. 
 
Gold Plated with a steel back and in very good condition, the dial shows some signs of wear.
Inside the case is a 17 Jewel Lever Movement signed Gruen
