1927 Finnigans Sterling Silvef Gents Dress Watch 
 
Most people have heard of Asprey of Bond Street the British Luxury Goods Retailer which opened in 1781, well in 1879 and on the opposite side of the road another Luxury Goods store opened the company was called Finnigans and over the next few decades the two firms enjoyed a healthy rivalry. Attracting American Millionaires like the Vanderbilts, the Rockefellers and the Fords.This continued till 1968 when Finnegans closed their store.
 
The case is  Sterling Silver, hallmarked London 1927 and is a really attractive period Watch with a very tasteful Guilloche sunburst dial.Inside the case is a 15 Jewel Swiss Movement 
 
A very fine historical watch from what was a very respected British retailer.
