The Albano Collection

Albert Albano (1953-2022) was a world renowned art conservator and arts patron who began his life-long collecting as a small boy in New York City in the early 1960s. With an eclectic and attuned palate, ranging from militaria, rare books, art and sculpture, Albano was able to amass a wide breadth and impressive portfolio of interests.

With a keen fascination in WW1 from his family's military background, Albano was in the process of building a museum quality collection of WW1 uniforms and militaria when he sadly passed this year after a long and hard fought bout with cancer.

This wonderful group of WW1 and early 20th century Trench Watches and wristlets was constructed as one of the main pillars of this collection, and the pieces within speak to the keen eye for aesthetics, mechanical ingenuity, and inspiring history of the late Mr. Albano"

The Vintage Watch Room London is proud to have been appointed by the Albano Family to market these wonderful historic timepieces.

All these watches are working as listed here, if there are any niggles that we find on sale we will fix them before despatch. We do not know when these watches were last serviced, some  recently some not, we will test them all for accuracy prior to despatch and a timing report will accompany the watch.
