1915 Unbranded Sterling Silver Officers Trench Watch

This is a really nice looking watch, Unbranded Swiss movement, Sterling Silver in very good condition, nice onion style winder,  Hallmarked London 1915 it's a George Stockwell stamp in the case, they were both case makers, Importers and Assay agents.

Most Officers and Soldiers wore Trench watches with white dials, Trench Watches with black dials were useful for night time recon missions when anything white might be seen. In addition on although White dialled watches were more popular, black dial,Trench Watches were less susceptible to sniper fire and that was also a consideration in the Trenches.

Cosmetically overall in very good condition and running well
